PCOS Advice Please RE Fertility Specialist

Hi

I am new to all this.
I have been reffered to a Fetility specialist and I just wanted to know what to expect on my first appointment and what will they do.

I have had an ultra sound and blood tests which has confirmed Polycyctic ovaries. Oh and I havent had a period for about a year.

aw hun x dont really have any advice x i had a cyst once on one of my ovaries when I was younger, go it after an operation x but nothing since then x I think they just talk to you about all the diffrent option and stuff, Im sure you'll get ot ask them lots of questions too xxx Hope you get your bfp soon too hun xxx

They are likely to talk through the different options with you, such as clomid to get you ovulating, but will probably want to take a sperm sample from OH if no-ones done this, just so they know what they are dealing with, sometimes both partners can have difficulties so they like to know in advance what they are dealing with as they consider clomid a expensive treatment i think. Although i'm just trying to work it out now and i think it was about 6 years or so since my first appointment with specialist, i conceived 4 times but had subsequent miscarriages. On the plus side that was in my previous relationship that ended 3 years ago, me and my OH have succesfully conceived twice now without any treatment despite my PCOS and endimetrosis. Wishing you lots of luck and strength for your appointment. Its a hard thing to have to go through, but stay strong and never give up hope, I did and I was wrong because I have my beautiful baby boy now and another baby hopefully on the way.
