Panicking: chickenpox

A friend paid us a visit tonight and when she got home she discovered her child has chickenpox! Will my 5 week old get it? We have hospital appointments coming up also!

What shall I do??

There's not much you can do to avoid chicken pox as it's actually contagious up to 10 days or so before the spots appear. X

It's highly possible your lo will have picked it up depending on how close your friends child got? Try not to worry (easier said than done I know!) as when younger they say it's usually milder. Also your lo won't know to scratch so less chance of scarring than with an older child.

Thanks. The child wasn't with mum but the mum did hold my baby
