The past few months i can feel ovulation happening but its mega painful shooting pains...it's just a couple of the shoots but its very very painful when it happens and stops me in my tracks. I was wondering if anyone else experienced that or should I be worried ?

Hiyah! It's called middle pain in English or Mittel scmitz (spelling?) I've had them since I was a kid and sometimes i can feel which side I'm ovulating from. It's funny because in recent years I find it more painful than my period lol x

Yeah I know about this chick and I know what side I ovulate from as nornally more painful to one side but this time it feels pain on both sides but it seems to be very painful last month amd this month and I am.sure it shouldn't be so painful...I find it worse than my period too but never noticed this pain until I started ttc which is weird !

I have had this since I was a kid too.. although until I started ttc I always put it down to trapped wind *covers face* I used to have severe period cramps too although these have settled down since I have had kids *thank goodness!* My ov pain is quite painful tho! I have to use a heat pack and take paracetamol which doesn't make much different in all honesty. I use it as sort of a confirmation that I have ov'd. I can usually tell which side I have ov'd from but after an hour or so the pain is in my lower back and then both sides and tends to stay that way for a few hours before dying down.

Hi, I came off the pill in March as we would like to have another baby some time next year and had been back on it since my Daughter was 1 (about 2 years ago). Since coming off the pill again I have had all sorts of pain around ovulation time; this month I have had aches and cramping both sides and lower back pain as if I was on my period. Sorry to hear you are in pain too.... bloomin' hormones xx

I get that...at least you know when you are ovulating...can't get more accurate than that!
