Wanting to sort of rant about pain, I just hate pain and well, I fainted when I got my ears pierced  so embarrassing...I have the lowest pain threshold ever lol...anyway I got this weird pain last night which carried on throughout today, bah

Last night it was really strange, i spent about an hour at my friend's house sitting with my legs out at side. Dunno if this is what started it all off. But when I got home, I noticed that I had this weird pain in my lower back at the right side, and then when I got my shoe off my right foot, not sitting down or properly, as you do, but kinda standing and yanking it off with my left foot (if you know what I mean?? Kinda hard to describe!! ) well after I did that, I got the most painful pain I've ever had, I tried to go up the stairs but could only manage 2 steps before I had to sit down, I was nearly in tears

I was still in pain when I went to work, but going up stairs was sooooo difficult. I had to do stair assessments today  which didn't help...

Has anyone had this?? I posted before about me possibly having spd, I have a consultants appt next week. Thankfully work are very supportive, but they should be, I'm currently working in an orthopaedic hospital at the moment!!

I hate pain, I hate pain, I hate pain, there that feels better already... :)

It sounds like how my SPD (or pelvic girdle pain as I think it is now called) started. I'm glad you've got an appointment now. I didn't do anything about it until I really couldn't work anymore. So I've been signed off for the last 2 weeks and I still don't know when my physio appointment will be  I did get a sexy tubigrip to wear from hip to bust from the midwife and that has helped so I can sleep better now.

Have a look at the advice in the leaflet on this website for tips to help before you see the consultant.

I hope the pain gets better for you!

Thanks kalia, today the pain wasn't so bad, i managed to get a good night's sleep and my friend had lent me her pillow which is l shaped so it kinda supports tummy and back and then goes between legs, which really helped. Do you find that the pain comes and goes or it more constant? or is it that something will aggravate the pain? Hmm I have lots of questions!! I can't imagine how i'd cope if the pain got any worse!! Thanks for that link, was useful. Funny, cos I'm a physio, I feel like i should know these things but I don't! hmmm i hope i dont get to the point of needing a tubigrip

thanks for that  hope you get ur physio appt soon and that the pain gets better. i cant imagine the pain any worse than this but sounds like it can be
