Only poos when....

he has a bottle?? When he does he always grunts and arches his back. He sucks on the teet for comfort and looks petrified. I mentionde it to the Dr but he doesn't seem concerned. He NEVER poos though without a bottle. Is this normal?

Galen used to do this lots also although boobie fed. Sometimes he goes without having a feed but often used to be mid feed and really strain and go red then do a massive poo. I put it down to more going in, so something has to come out to make room

Jacob used to do this more often. My mother said the sucking reflex triggers a pooing reflex! I don't know how true it actually is but judging from your replies, she might have been right!

I wondered this but when your feeding them but it is as simple as what Sherlock said their feed is flushing the old feed out iykwim.
