I've been sent a letter to attend an appointment at my local hospital on March 31. To allow at least two hours for the visit and to bring my notes and any meds etc with me.
I called the hospital and asked what it was all about, and was told it was just an outpatients appointment and all PG women were offered them.
She was unable to tell me what went on during the visit as she was the receptionist and therefore not in the know. No one else was available to talk to at the time
Anyone able to tell me what the appointment is all about? This is not the main hospital where I have had my scans etc, nor where if I need to go to hospital during labour I'll be sent (planning a homebirth if all goes well anyways), it has no childbirth facilities like that.
I am due a scan at 34 weeks at the main hospital and hope to get the maternity unit tour there also incase I need to go there to birth, so don't really get what this appointment of two hours plus is all about.
Any light you can shed would be appreciated. If need be then I can get hubby to come along with me.
Thanks
