When you put a newborn down for the night (or night time sleeps, cos there's no chance Kynon will go anywhere near a night!) do you put them upstairs with a monitor or still downstairs with you? Hubby thinks we should put him in his cradle but I'm not happy with that so keep him downstairs with us until I go to bed.

Until a baby is six months they should really stay in the same room as you, its because your breathing will help them to regulate their breathing x

Grace stays downstairs with us until 10pm feed then we both go up to bed

Ryan stays with me in the living room then if by some miracle he falls asleep I take him into our bedroom.

I was just wondering this myself hun, so glad you posted! Jax stays in the lounge with us until he wakes for a feed usually between 9 and 11pm and then we take him up to bed with us x

Owen was up every few ours in his Moses in our bedroom . Then feeds got longer between, then we slowly dropped feeds . I'd say by 14 weeks he was sleeping 7 - 6.30 with a few wake ups but no food! He also moved to cot ( in our room) at about 11 weeks xx

Same we take izzy to bed with us after last feed at 10-11ish. We started butting Ewan up with monitor at 5-6 weeks and he started sleeping for longer and started doing all through night at 6/7weeks. we had a sound and video monitor. Culdnt do it otherwise. Gave us peace of mind being able to see him x

Ryan takes forever to fall asleep in the evening (around 12/1/2).
He's 9 weeks, what about your LOs?

At around 7 Kayden gets a bath & bottle & goes into his crib in the bedroom, we put on the sensor/sound monitor & sit in the next room (living room) & I check on him whenever i'm up. We done this from the very start with 1st & she was always very good with bedtimes when she was older

:)

Our baby stays with us until we go up to bed, then she goes in her crib (although she co-slept with us for the first 2 weeks). I just don't feel comfortable having her in a different room as then I can't spot when she starts fussing because the needs to feed or has/is about to wet her nappy as she does this quietly, so baby monitor is definitely not for us :)

She falls asleep at around 10/11pm and needs changing/feeding two or three times a night but settles very quickly to sleep again after feeding.

I'd go with what feels right for you though!

I was always told not to even think about 'bedtimes' until baby is at least 6 weeks old if not older, I'd personally wait til about 3 months. I'd just bring baby up to the bedroom when I went myself. He did settle into a routine eventually.

We have 2 sofas so OH sits on the 2 seater, I sit on the 3 seater and caleb sleeps laying on the sofa next to me. He only sleeps in his moses basket at night xx
