The Royal Mint has unveiled the first major redesign of the UK's coins since decimalisation in 1968.

The Mint commissioned new "reverse" designs for the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 coins that feature the shield of the royal arms to partner the Queen's head on the flip side. Here's a first look at the changes to your change.

Do you like or dislike?

OOooh! I think they look lovely!
Mind you, coins are all lovely when they're new and shiny. Once they've been round the block a few times, they'll probably look just like the current ones! xx

I like.... but tbh they could do what they wanted with our coinage for me.. so long as its still spendable! :D

ooo cool ..i think the £ is still gold though...

when do these start??

I don't like them, I was reading about them the other day and apparently the sheild which they are all pieces of doesn't have a section to represent Wales, it's England, Scotland, Northern Ireland then England again. I found that a bit weird and would be annoyed if I was Welsh that my country hadn't been included in the National currency.

I think they are quite snazzy, and modern looking, although I dont really care to be honest!!

I don't like them :talkhand: I like the ones we have got now lol
