New... and bloomin' nervous!

Hiya all!

How's it going? I'm Katie, 25 years old from London. This is my first pregnancy - it was completely planned, so my partner and I are thrilled. But now that I'm no longer dancing around giddily with the initial joy of it all, I'm feeling a little daunted.

Don't get me wrong - I want this more than anything in the world, but at the same time... I'm suddenly realising that life will never be the same again - it's a completely new chapter, isn't it?! So, I guess I'm scared and excited and happy all at once!

Anyway, that's enough blither and blather for now - looking forward to getting to know you all!

Congrats to you and your partner. Its a great feeling isnt it!

I have just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant. It was not planned however we are both thrilled, hence him asking if our username could be both our names!!lol men!

Anyway I am slightly nervous about everything and am so scared about m/c. Could really do with speaking to somebody who is new to all this too.

new chapter it is indeed- and its wonderful!

i was 25 when i was pregnant with my first too. i was a party girl so for me it was the perfect age to close the youth chapter! still young but not so young that i felt i was missing out on the social scene

Thanks for replying.

I am a bit of a party girl as well, so its a big shopck knowing I cant really be in that environment for the next year or so. My job is also very social so I think I will have to tell work soon.

I am only 5 weeks so its really early but am so scared all ready.. most people seem to have mc at 5 weeks so this is the worst time. Is there any signs I can look out for? Anything that you would recomend me eating/drinking?

our baby wasnt planned, but the father and i are thrilled its happened.

OMG Your scans are amazing!!! I have just booked my first scan for the 21st of Jan!! so excited!!

I have named our baby shim! Its very funny!! its half him and she but my BF keeps saying its meant to be him and her and she and he!! men!!

I bet you feel relieved moving towards the 2 tri!!

Are their any signs to look out for so I know everything is fine? I am so nervous about everything!!

Hey! I am five weeks too, this is my first pregnancy and like you I am really worried that everything is ok. Also have a really bad cold at the moment that is making me feel rubbish.

Same as me!! are you exactly 5 weeks?

I have a bad cold.. its on its way out but had it for about 10 days now. I am exhausted though... I have never been so tired! I felt really sick this morning and have a bad headache but thats it.. its so exciting!!

I am five weeks and 3 days, at least I think I am I am seeing the midwife next Monday so hopefully they will be able to confirm I have got my dates right.

It is really exciting and its good to share worries with people in exactly the same situation.

How exciting.. I am seeing the Midwife week on wednesday. I cant wait....

I have had this horrible taste in my mouth all today and feel really sick.. I love all this though.. its becoming so real!
