Naughty Girl...

So, Ladies, last night I was a very naughty girl.
As you may or may not know, I came off the pill at the end of Jan so that I could monitor my cycles before TTC later this year. We haven't been using any other form of contraception as I haven't been ovulating (I have been using the OPKs) and we have just been using the withdrawal method, well last night he didnt withdraw (we just got carried away and before we knew it it was just too late (haha). Anyway yesterday was CD17, not sure what that means in terms of ovulating etc, but I tested last month between days 10 and 20 I think and nothing. So Im sure its nothing to worry about Im just annoyed at myself and wanted you to tell me how stupid I was!

I know, I feel so stupid and it wouldnt be the end of the world no, but just not good timing. Im sure I will be ok!! I don't think Ive been ovulating but I will of course keep you all updated

Don't be too hard on yourself. It is easy to get carried away I know, the method is not very men friendly. I am sure that it will be exactly how it is meant to be.

Haha Mrs M - you do make me laugh. Out of all the times it had to be mid-month and not cd30 or something when it was much less likely to be an issue!! It will not be happening again!

Right then Vixx (drill sergeant whistle) off to the naughty step you go! Hehee it is very hard not to be naughty when it's so much fun...makes it worse I'm sure I'll be on there at some point. You'll be fine hun and even if you are preggers a little ahead of schedule then that's awesome news too xx

Oooh Vixx what a naughty girl!! Hehe! I was worried the second cycle after coming off my pill that we'd thought it was a 'safe day' when it wasn't. When AF turned up I went over the dates and definitely we were ignorantly thinking we were being 'more careful' on what we call 'danger days'. Nothing came of it though. We're also terrible for getting too carried away! But have agreed that if any 'surprises' happen then it's a good surprise, but much like you, very poor timing.

Sure you'll be fine, don't stress or it could mess your cycles up and then you'll be really worried!

I know I know, Im sorry ladies!! I have been very bad and I hope not punished! I know what will be will be and I cant change that, but Im sure all this worry is for nothing

If I used last months cycle to go by I think my period would be due on the 1st April, so not long to wait.... haha :/

Oh vixx although it is very naughty I am so excited for you haha. And completely understand about getting carried away in the moment! This is what's making me question when to come off the pill! I wanted to come off in June to start trying in sept...I know OH loves the excitement of it so won't be able to hold back! Haha

Awww thanks ladies for all of your comments. I deserve to have my wrists slapped!
I honestly dont think anything will come of this, so much so that Im not even really thinking about it.
I will just make sure Im extra careful in the future!

As for coming off the pill early, I think this is a good idea to track cycles but you just need to be strong and not let yourself get carried away

Just to let you know AF turned up this morning exactly when she was meant to (well done body, for doing something right!) thats good, that means my cycles the last 2 months have been 32 days - at least I know where I am with them. I think once my hols are out of the way in July, I will then start using the OPKs and see whats happening in terms of ovulation, then it will only be a couple of months until TTC, yay!

My a/f turned up on 31st so now I'm cd3 (pretty heavy one -sorry tmi! but I have to say I've noticed a difference from a pill induced one) After my pitiful attempt at opks last month - I think I did it just one day - a mixture of scatterbrain memory and random curiosity..anyway it turned out I was ovulating on the 21st March (I put a little o in my calender). Not sure if that's quite late considering a/f turned up 12 days later? I've forgot how it works doh. Anyway this month I'm going to properly do opks as I'm back on the ball and feeling pretty broody again! So will be noseying in on what yours is saying. I'm a competitive type I can't help it ..... x

Haha Stacey, yes we should compare!! I dont think I will be using OPKs now until Jun/Jul time as Im on holiday as of the end of next week and what with so much going on Im not sure I will have time before then, but I will try!

Yes, Im relieved of course, but I honestly didnt think I would have anything to worry about, so I kind of just forgot about it anyway after it had happened and you lovely ladies had told me off!! haha

Well, heres the issue with knowing my AF this month.... So I had a biopsy last Thursday (27th) on my cervix and was told I would bleed for a bit but not much as she only took a tiny one. Well I bled from the Thursday (quite a lot actually) until the Monday (had to use tampax even though youre not meant to) but then I thought it has stopped Monday... Come Tues morning, I started to bleed again and had lower stomach cramps so I thought this must be AF, but then it stopped Tuesday and I havent bled since, so.... now Im confused, was my AF on the weekend? was the entire bleed from my biospy or was my AF only less than a day long - CONFUSED.COM!!!! lol

So, this month I really dont have a clue. I googled how long you can bleed after a biopsy and it said from a couple of days to 2 weeks, its just bad timing that it was at the time AF was due, so I think I will have to write off this months date, I guess?

Oh noes that is bad timing! But hey like you say you have a holiday to look forward to yay so perhaps just chilling this month is best. I think I'm going to have a go to get used to the strips..if I start figuring out I'm ovulating everyday then I'll know somethings a bit odd there hehe x

Haha yes definitely, keep me updated on how you get on as it will be interesting to see what you ovulate compared to mine if we seem to be on roughly the same cycles x
