She has her first proper snotty cold :( Finding it hard to feed to cuz she cant breathe oh my poor bubba

awwww poor baby :( Its heartbreaking isnt it.

Try sitting in the bathroom with the hot taps going and the door and windows closedvhun. The steam will clear her nose.

It must be doing the rounds in Brum, Stanley and I are the same :(

Have a duvet day and cuddle up xxxx

I have got some nasal clearing stuff and its worked a treat, got the comp by my bed and shes laying on me all snuggled and feeding :)

She still smiling tho bless her, I think I feel worse than her about it  Im just going to feed her and comfort her and do nothing else today :D

Snap! Leorah and I have beeen lounging around in bed. She's had her cold for weeks but it has just turned super snotty  She woke up every 20 mins - half hour from 2am last night because she couldn't breath, I kept putting saline up her nose but it just kept blocking up again. Today she can't even nap because of the same and a dry cough that she's got. She managed half an hour finally but we are going to take her for a long drive and hope she can catch somes zzzzs

I hope all our babies are better soon

and some more

Have you got any medised Tasha? That's great for bringing the temp down and clearing the nose. I didn't want to use it last night as it has paracetomel but Leorah is so stuffy and constantly rubbing her nose and eyes so I don't think it will hurt her to have some tonight. I hate to say it but I am getting very bunged up and have a bit of a sinus headache. We were both ill at the beginning of the week and then had a couple of ok days and now seem to be suffering again so we must have the same thing.

I went to the pharmacy to buy some Karvol or something similar and can you believe they have nothing!! I hate it here sometimes, don't scandanavian babies get colds? anyway I have gone all DIY and have ought some eucalyptus oil and am going to sprinkle it on a bib and attatch it to the cot. I'm also adding a couple more books to the cot legs so she is more tilted. Do you ladies have any strategies? :)

Wishing all mummies and babies a speedy recovery and a good night sleep

Yes I have heard of it, but they havnt any at my chemist  I have given her calpol now and she seems to look alot better and has slept lots today, im starting to get it now but hey we must go on :D lol its lucky women dont get man cold or nothing would ever get done

I have also got some snuffle babe which im putting on the towel we sleep on ( its to prevent her sick going allover the bed  ) and she going to snuggle up with me all night tonight.

I really dont know what else to suggest tho Katt, do you get those vapour plug ins over wer you are? put on a low setting, It will fill your home with vix smell, My mums done it with my lil bros and sisters and its been a godsend for everyone, dont know if its too strong for Leorah tho?

 Get well hugs for your Princess xx

Both Ruby and I have colds, it doesnt seem to be bothering her God love her, she sounds so snotty..asked at chemist what I can give her, they said nothing until she is 3 months old???? !!! Have been trying steam in bathroom and propped up head end of moses basket which seems to be working.

OH said its coz I have been taking her to mum and babies group, and mixing with other babies!!! :wall: We cant wrap her up in cotton wool, but now I feel guilty as she is ill

Hope all our babies are soon ship shape again xxxx

Aww Zoe I know how you feel, I also take Leorah out amongst other children and babies a lot and she seems to pick up everything but in tyhe long run it is building up their immune systems. Here in Denmark they wont give anything to a baby either even thoug Leorah is nearly 5 months. I have to say the eucalyptus oil seems to be really working though so perhaps you could try a few drops on a bib and attatch it to her cot to help her breath?

How are the other babies doing? Leorah slept from 7pm until 5am had a big feed and slept until 7am so we are both feeling much better after a big sleep. I do hope you are all on the mend

Tasha no they don't have those plug ins here that is exactly what I was looking for. I will probably visiting the Uk soon and will definitely get one then :) I do hope you and Olivia had a good night and are feeling better today

We are much better today, Olivia is stull abit snotty but still smiling :D

I hope your all ok ladies and babies

She didnt sleep very well mind and now her new trick is being bright eyed ,smiling and talking to me at 3 in the morning
