Hey everyone,

Just to let you all know that last wednesday at 4.47am i gave birth to my gorgeous baby girl - called Leah (middle name - Grace) who weighed a healthy 7.7lbs and i did it all with gas and air! YAY! :D Im sooooo pleased that it all happened naturally (as i was due to be induced on the thursday) Well as some of u may remember, i wasnt really sure that id know when id be in labour lol n yeap u guessed it i wasnt sure n left it for as long as possible, my contractions were every 5mins at 1am and finally after layin in bed for 30mins,thought id better ring the hospital - so i rung them and they said i should go in so they could monitor the baby. I got to the hospital and 2hrs 47mins later, id given birth! She was perfect!
Then, for me, it all went abit wrong, my placenta took 40mins to be delivered but it wasnt 'normal' it came in 2 1/2s - all clotted. At this point, i went into shock, crashed and obv cant remember anything but i lost 6.6pints of blood, got rushed into theatre, nearly died and ended up having a blood transfusion. The doctors called said id had a Post Partum haemorrhage. :( NEHOO, im fine now - bit tired and im enjoying my lovely baby Leah!

Hope everyone is doing fine, and i havent scared you all with my horror story.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter, you did so well only using gas and air.

What an awful turn of events for you though, that must have been very frightening for your partner.

Thank goodness you are OK.

Take it easy and enjoy your new baby.

Congrats hun, im glad it all turned out ok in the end. Did they give you an injection after for the placenta or did you do it naturally out of curiosity?

Congratulations and glad to hear you're all ok now. Sounds like you had a rough time - even if it wasn;t with the actual labour! I hope mine is that quick!
