Mortgage repayments

I don't know if anybody will be able to help with this question?

I haven't had any work for a while and heard from somewhere that you can freeze mortgage payments if you have a low income. Is this true?

I think it depends on your mortgage type, why don't you give your provider a call to check?

Not sure about freezing the full payment although we have changed ours temporarily to interest only and saved having to pay £280 each month on top of the lowered amount we are paying until I return back to work.
Have a word, explain the situation and you never know you might be surprised about whats on offer.

our mortgage provider will let you take payment breaks if you ask nicely, so definately worth asking
