our very first didy (wraparound carrier) arrived in the post this morning after a loooong wait! the one i borrowed from a friend earlier has been returned and this is MIIIIINE!

hoping to spread some babywearing love here, come on mummies take the plunge and ditch the buggy! (we've not used ours for a month!) lol

Lovely... thats my fav one i have seen so far....
:cheer:

That looks soooo comfy for you both. Is it easy to put on?

How much does Ruben weigh? And how much weight do you think you'll be able to carry on your back? Maddie was 20lb 3 months ago but I have no idea what she weighs now!

will have to try those with the next baby they look better than the baby born things

it has a bit of a learning curve but not too hard to put on once you've tried it a few times. the sheer amount of fabric (5metres approx) is a bit daunting at first. it's well worth it though as it is SOOOOO comfy! not used my buggy for over a month now i've mastered back carries! ruben is 26lbs now, and i expect to be able to carry him for a looong time yet! many people carry their toddlers up to at least 3 years of age! my friend's almost 2yo is 37lbs and she still carries him - and she's 7 months pregnant!!!

where u get that from hun??

i got it from http://www.naturalmothering.co.uk/store/ (watch out for their "bargain box", some good deals come up there!) :D but there are other places to get them too, just google "didymos" or "wraparound baby carrier"

in addition to Didymos (didy) there are also other brands, like BB Slen, Ellaroo, Storchenwiege (storch), Girasol, Hoppediz (hopp)..... the list goes on!

Hi

Those are great hun he is sooo cute, i would ditch the stroller but i carry so much stuff of hers around i couldnt carry it all lol its lovely though
