Middle of the night screaming????

One of my boys has started waking up in the middle of the night screaming blue murder. He usually settles easily enough sometimes with a cuddle or even just popping his dummy in. It's almost like he's had a fright or a wee bad dream? My other boy is totally unaffected thankfully and sleeps on. I just wondered what this could be as I don't remember my daughter doing it? Does anyone else have this?

yeah we had this a fair amount, Maybe bad dreams or what I thought (and it still happens) is teething pains and tummy apins that maybe wake him suddenly or give him sudden fright and then he's in a right tiz?
If only they could tell us!

Ella did this last night! A sudden scream, a bit of a whinge and then she went back to sleep by herself! I think she'd had a bad dream she's done it a few times before and often I have to cuddle her back to sleep.

Oscar does this too, it's so upsetting but he settles right back to sleep with a cuddle. Last night though he kept laughing in his sleep and smiling, too cute xx
