Hello, when did everyone/when is everyone planning to go on maternity leave?

My maternity leave was due to start at 35 weeks (1 week of that would be holiday so 36 weeks)

But i am now seriously considering moving it forward to 33 weeks, i work in a nursery and i am on my feet all day and i absolutly hate my manager she is a complete bitch!!!!

But that will leave me with 6 weeks (maybe more if im late)..and i think i might get bored, i will spend a couple of weeks in brum at my moms and help with little whispers. But she will be at work every day too.

And then i have to put up with my annoying brother and his music at 7am every morning!

But i dont know if i sound really lazy doing this? But im just so depressed at work i hate it there! opinions would be appreciated :)

I startedmy official mat leave a month before my due date, but actually left work 2 months before that as I had loads of leave to use up & as I was in so much pain & discomfort wanted to take it before rather than after.

My maternity leave officially started this week, but I've now been off sick for about 7 weeks prior to that. I have got bored sometimes, but have also really needed it. If you are even considering it, I would do it hun. Afternoon naps are the best!! :rotfl:

i left at 34 weeks but had a a weeks holiday it was nice but i wish i had longer the ovaside wit B

Not sure, I'm a contractor and wont get maternity pay. Thinking around the end of January very early february. I work in a hospital and the wards I cover are the furthest away from my office (Aint that always the way!) so depends how long I can cope with that. A lot will depend on me being able to get behind the wheel to get to work as I know I couldnt with DD beyond 7 months.

I was booked to start at 36 weeks, but bit the bullet and left at 34. like you, I worked on my feet, it was hot and I just couldn't take amymore!

Listen to your body honey, and leave when you have to, you know when it's time! Work is never worth risking your health/well-being over. Are your managers understanding? I would hope so in your industry! :)
