Weve been watching season 1 again from the start while wating for it to come back on (how addicted are we lol) and if your into trying to work out whats going on I highly recomend it, theres lots of stuff we'd forgotten about that makes later episodes make more sense!

Weve been watching season 1 again from the start while wating for it to come back on (how addicted are we lol) and if your into trying to work out whats going on I highly recomend it, theres lots of stuff we'd forgotten about that makes later episodes make more sense!
Have you got them on DVD? I wouldn't mind watching it again from the beginning. What things have you picked up on by watching it again?

No we're watching them on NTL on demand.
Ok things we forgot about -
The french lady told them, on the day the raft was launched, that the mechanical sounding monster that lives in the jungle is a "security system" to protect the island.
Also, remember the signal they picked up in french that eventually led Sayid (phwooooar) to her? Well it was originally a broadcast of the numbers repeatedly, being sent from a signal tower near the "Black Rock" (which turned out to be an old ship of that name) which suggests the numbers - which Hurley believes are cursed and there seems an awful lot of coincidences surrounding those numbers - originated from the island.
And then theres Claire who went to see a psychic when she was going to give her baby up for adoption, and he basically saw what would happen and set her up to get on the plane and hence crash on the island, saying that she was the only one who could protect her baby. Its the same psychic who, in a later episode, Rose went to see for healing.
