Hi gals...

I'm putting up my Christmas decorations and am hecking the balls with hows of dolly, etc.

I thought it would be nice with all the hurry and scurry there is around here to have a Christmas thread - contribute Christmas stories about your LO, Christmas hopes and dreams, Christmas memories, Christmas thoughts.

I know it's not strictly speaking meant to be on here, should I move it?

But anyway -

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY and PEACEFUL and HEALTHY New Year to everyone here. Big Christmas kisses.

Sue

I keep welling up at the thought of Christmas because I think next year our LO will be ripping open presents and getting excited about Santa (ok the obvious flaw here is that a 6 month year old isn't going to be ripping presents open etc but you catch my drift! )

Ah yes but you'll be able to do it for your LO, won't you?

My daughter's first Christmas, she was almost a year old, having her birthday on January 6th. She still has to be helped with the presents because I don't think she understands what they are! But then at almost 3 this year I'd say she's got a fairly good idea! We're debating whether to get the Lego she's asked for as she is quite young... and I keep thinking...small pieces, scattered all over the floor...

Yay I cant wait till next xmas! all the little baby's first xmas things and I want to get a little train that goes around the bottom of the tree. I jsut keep wondering at how different my life is going to be next year, i cant wait!

I didn't have a very good Christmas last year as 3/4 weeks before I had found out at my 20 week scan that Jayden had problems.
But this year I am going to enjoy it as I have another baby cooking away in the oven and it won't be long until I get to meet her!!
Next year will be even better as I will be able to share Christmas with her!!!Oh I can't wait! :D

I am really looking forward to christmas this year, i am all in order for a change and only have to wrap the family gifts up and sort the food out. This will be my last Christmas where i won't be busy working (start trainning to be a nurse in september) so i am really getting into it.

Our new baby will be 9 months next christmas so that will be nice to look forward to!

When we were kids, I was the oldest so I got to help with Santa for all the others. It was amazing to see them wake up on Christmas morning and be so excited that they trembled! I hope Naomi has that experience, I don't think many children now do, they are so used to having it all!
I remember one morning, we were all so excited we woke up at 4am! Our mum wasn't that popular when she got up and forbade us to get up again before 8 o clock!

I like Christmas but it has some sad memories too as I miscarried on Boxing Day last year and eight years ago, I lost my Mom ten days before Christmas. I don't like to put up my tree until after the 15th, because of that.

But on the other hand, my lil star Naomi was born on January 6th, so I always keep it up for a couple of extra days, because I don't ever want her to associate her birthday with decorations coming down etc.
