sorry if this sounds daft but i feel really excited:) i got a bottle sterilizer too, it seems oh so real now:)

I am going to have to start buying stuff like that and stop buying clothes. My l/o already is starting to get a bigger wardrobe than me.

Its exciting buying stuff thou x

I'm the same all clothes and toys, nothing sensible yet!

Hev, that's what I want! I thought they were £100 everywhere, I'm gonna have to send my Mum to Argos for me :D

yer i thought they were alot more!!! GO TO ARGOS!!! hehe

Hmmm, I'm intrigued! That monitor in the picture is the Tommee Tippee Ultimate Monitor, which is £100, you are right. Yet the Argos site lists is as a Monitor 6 with sensor mat. I've just checked the Tommee Tippee website, and this is all that is listed:

http://www.tommeetippee.co.uk/shop/home.php?cat=19

I've searched their site for a monitor 6, but nothing exists!! :? Not quite sure where Argos have got these from then! :?

I've just actually bought one of the Ultimate Monitors, from Tesco's. They currently have them on offer for £79.99, and this lasts another week or so.

Okay, now I'm even more confused......

I've just googled Tommee Tippee Monitor 6, and the only things that have come up are for Argos, and this one seller on Ebay who is selling the BNIB monitor, but without the mat. How can it be BNIB if it doesnt have the mat??

Tell me if the heats getting to me girls.

I have the Tommee Tippee ultimate monitor which cost £100 from Tesco, but that was a few months ago when Damien was about 5 weeks old. I think they still retail at £100 on the Tomee Tippee site though?? I think Argos sell the ones which Tommee Tippee don't make anymore, hence they are so cheap. They had one a few months ago at half price for only £25, and Tommee Tippee don't make that one anymore either.

The mats are great for peace of mind and reassurance. My son does actually suffer with sleep apnoea (when they stop breathing for too long, 5-10 seconds is normal) and his mat has been so useful to us and alerted us a number of times when he needed help.

If you do buy a mat for breathing monitoring, I would ask you Health Visitor (when baby is born) or your midwife about baby resuscitation so that if by some awful chance the mat alerts you to a problem, you know what to do an how to revive and get your baby breathing again. I could tell you but I don't want to get it wrong and I'm not qualified to tell you.

Sorry waffled on a bit there!! The mats are great though, and really help to reduce the risk of SIDS/Cot Death.

I actually knew you'd got one of these Sami, I can remember you buying it!!! Why I didn't just ask you I'll never know!! Bit thick today, me! :wall:

LOL it's okie hunnie, I know how those hormones can make you! I'm still the same yet I have nothing to blame for it now

If you need to know anything else just ask xx

Just had a look for that monitor on Ebay, and you're right it doesn't come with a mat. wierd. They must have made a few models under tha same name?
