My due date has arrived!! All these months of waiting and the waiting still goes on....!!

Seeing midwife today at 11.30....would love her to try and start me off!!

I've got a midwife appointment on my DD too (this Wed) and nothing been mentioned about starting me off. Hope she does though

Hi Claire,

Just come back now.....NO BLOODY SWEEP!!!

The midwives were dealing with a rather "tricky birth". The one midwife left the labour room to see me but said they did not have time to do a sweep - I understood that the baby was stuck in the woman giving birth (bless her)....

She said sex would work wonders and is considered to be more effective than a sweep. When I phoned and told my DH, his voice dropped and he replied "no chance".....charming!!! I will have to persuade him. He is soooo looking forward to this baby coming that he may give in!! (The midwife told me that it was common for men to be repulsed by sex with a pregnant woman!)

I just saw your post in ask a mum section.. I think i may wait until Thursday to see if they do a sweep. Tried the sex thing last week but clearly it didnt work! I'll tell you what.. you have a bonk tonight and let me know if it works. I will then decide whether its worth having a go! lol
