Hi...just been on the nasty nasty weighing scales... :(

how much weight is normal to put on in the first tri.

I've put on 6lb..... is this too much?

I feel like I've turned into a bloater although OH says that he can't see anything apart from my bump...

Looking forward to your help ... thank you x :)

It could just be water retention, bloating hun, don;t worry yourself about it!

you know what, the Dr weighed me and I never looked or got on the scale at home and havnt since, so I have no clue what ive put on lol. all i know is all my clothes still fit right now so Im fine :rotfl:

I sympathise fully KirlyKird, I feel like a bloater as well and my clothes are tight, people say ooh, you are expanding as if it is a god thing,, but I think it is just chips!!

I think that article is referring to weight AFTER first pregnancy not during, so don't worry about that.

It is miserable though as you become very paranoid and people are looking at you more as well which doesn't help!!

I put 4 stone on with both Em and Jack
So i really wouldn't worry about 6lb hun

Hey Hun, don't worry about it. I went through massive trauma at first because it seemed as though I was putting on weight straight away and I thought it was too quick (less baby, more food!) but the water retention does have an impact and as long as you are eating healthily and doing what's right for the baby...

I finally bit the bullet, went out today and bought a set of clothes a size bigger... Got sick of making myself feel bad when I couldn't squeeze into my regular stuff, now I feel comfortable and glam again (well, a BIT glam...) cos I'm not distracted by bulging seams... ;)

Just think, in a couple of months we'll be HUGE! So this will seem like nothing :rotfl:

Thanks girls for your support... I don't seem to have put on any weight elsewhere yet.

I've done some reading too and feel a little better as I'm only 1lb over the norm by this stage of pg so I'm quite relieved now :D
