Im such an idiot!!! grrrr

I cant believe what ive done....

I designed some business cards for a client who requested a urgent job and sent an email with links to the design files to the printers yesterday. I got a phone call from the printers saying that they were having trouble downloading the files and could I email them over instead, I did this.... I have just realised I sent the wrong files & they would have already been printed.

Its going to cost me £285.00 for the business cards that are incorrect and im going to have to pay it out of my very empty pocket. I will also not have the business cards ready now for my client so have let them down aswell.

I feel so stupid, its a very easy mistake to make but I just feel like such a failure. Im so angry with myself & cant stop crying (hormones ).

Unfortuneately these gremlins happen to the best of us. Don't sweat it though honey, it has happened now, no amount of stress can change it. Maybe have a word with the printer, they might make some concession because of the mistake, it is worth asking.

Ive spoken to the printers and it doesnt seem like they will double charge me, fingers crossed. The CORRECT files are on their way to the printers now and im hoping that they will be done by this evening but we have missed our 9am slot at the plastic company so there could be delays.... Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Oh hun, it is an easy mistake to make (also you can blame pregnancy brain!) I made a very similar one involving a 10 page electronics catalogue........but thats another story!
Don't be too hard yourself, we all make mistakes. Thankfully you saved this one, so you should be praising yourself instead!

Arghhh printers are having problems recieving emails so they have had to come and collect the artwork on a CD, not looking likely it will be complete in time! Oh well!

well atleast you can explain to your client that theres a problem with the printers, i bet that would have happened if youd sent the right files anyway so its not your fault hun!
