hiya everyone just thought i'd pop by and tell everyone what happened to me today...Today i had a routine antenatal check at my local GP surgery with a midife i am very familiar with and like very much :) when she examined my tummy she told me i was measuring 22 weeks which was nice as i'm only supposed to be 19.. after the examination she used the machine (?) to hear the heartbeat ...NOTHING she called the other midwife still...NOTHING.. then the doctor came in... NOTHING as you can imagine i was pooing my pants, they tried 3 different machines but still they heard nothing  . all in all i was on the bed about 30 mins, my midwife claire then asked me to make my way immediatley to the local hospital for an emergency scan (hosp only 10 mins away) when i got there i was seen straight way and given the scan...ALL IS WELL  relief wasn't the word apparantly i have a tilted womb? which can make it difficult to pick up the heart beat  up until this day i have been selfishly really really really hoping for a boy but i've now realised i would be blessed to have either boy or girl ...i wasn't really in the frame of mind to ask what sex it was but my anomally scan is on the 8th may :D

Oh goodness! So glad your okay! Little ones gonna be trouble then girl or boy haha having you worried already!!!xxx

What a nightmare of a day for you, so glad to hear all is well with bubba, must have been so stressful though. These dopplers seem to cause an awful lot of stress with midwifes not finding the heartbeat, have read of a few people being put through unecessary stress with nurses failing to find it.

Hope you can relax and look forward to your next scan now,

Take care,

Sarah x
