if thats the form so he can claim paternity leave i think its either 11 or 15 weeks before your due date, but they also need a copy of your matb1 form which i had a hell of a job to get a copy of because i'd already given it to my employer 
I never throught about showing my mat b1 to his employer 
I gave it to my employer and when they returned it to me, I sent it off to claim maternity allowance.
They haven't asked him for the mat b1 yet, but i've only got 7 weeks left, so I best get on to it. xx
