Homemade batter mix

Whats your secret, im wanting to make spam fritters for oh, he loves them but every time i make batter it doesnt really have much taste, what am i doing wrong, can anyone help

Eeek this is maybe a bit late since you posted it 3 days ago

I always make a beer batter.... just S.R. Flour and pour in some beer and season. Makes the batter all light and fluffy and bubbly.... mmmmm

If you dont want to use beer, soda water does the same job

Yups OH agrees Sarah. He's a deep frying wizard, he puts in a splash of beer, fizzy water or failing that baking powder.


mmmmm deep fried chillies... I miss those. I can't stomach them at the minute though
