Has anybody here used Home Start? If so how were your experiences? I'm really thinking about giving them a call...

no i haven't . my friend used them though. she had three kids all under 4 years old and a woman came out and took them out for a few hours once a week for her.

Haven't used them but I know a few people who volunteered with them - they really enjoyed it and felt they made a real difference to the families they helped

No I haven't called. I have been feeling a lot better this week. I might speak to the Health Visitor about it on Monday though at the New Parents Group. I meant to ask her last week but I was talking to some of the other mums and didn't want to break away from the conversation only to admit I was feeling I wasn't coping too well.

 Sorry you're feeling down. It's very normal to be overwhelmed at first :)

not used them but it is worth contactung them if it doesn't help you have lost nothing.\

I have a home support worker through hv so chat to her awell

I havent used them but got as far as having an interview with one of the ladies to pin point me someone but not long after I got a full time job and when ever they have rung i've never been in. I have heard many good reviews about them, dont forget its free and they are there to help so dont hesitate to call them, they'll do many things for you too!

My SIL uses them for her eldest son... the guy comes and collects my nephew after school on a Wednesday and he takes him to either the movies or the fun fair, swimming or just to the park or McDonalds - my nephew loves it!!!
