After 6 sweeps and then having the prosterglandin pessary, I started contractions around 2am Thursday early hours. By 7.30am Thursday morning, I had kicked started labour to active labour getting to 4cm. Pessary fell out so it was in for about 8 hours and then natural from then on. Waters We're broken at 7.40am and everything kicked up with proper labour. Went from 5cm to 10cm in 5 hours and then had a urge to push. I had gas and air for lost the labour but when I thought I had ages to go with labour I had half a dose of pethadine which had effect the hour after she literally shot out of me. Pushed for about 15mins and she literally had to be cought, as I shot her out. She's weighed 7lbs6oz at 38 weeks and her placenter was at full capacity so her growth was defo healthy. Few scares of grunting and singing but they've checked her very closely and said she just talks and whimpers to settle herself but sounds very cute when doing it. I didn't have and stitches it grazes or hemorrhoids but a small scratchy bit which will go after a couple of warns tea tree baths. X
