Holiday

because i had from sept to the start of my mat leave off sick last year, i had 8 days holiday that was carried over to this year. well i wasn't planning to go back until oct, but ive just been looking at the benefits im entitiled to and i we would be more better off if i stayed at home

but... what would happen to my 8 days holiday from last year? would i lose them? or would i still be entitled to them?

Hi Sam,

Your employer owes you these days - so you should be reimbursed for them in your final pay packed - i.e. paid for 8 full days work.

It might be worth checking with your line manager that they are aware you still have outstanding holidays due to be paid to you though? Maybe mention this in your letter to hand in your notice?

thanks luv. i just wanted to make sure that if i do decide not to go back, then i have a right to be paid for these days. i know it isn't much, but its a few more shoes for alice
