Highchair advice please

Tripp Trapp :D

I LOVE the one we have! It doesn't have a tray but we sit Finlay at the table and its great.

Can be used as a chair for an adult too. The one we got I bought a baby set for it too so he can sit in it now then he'll be using it till he's ancient

Wasn't cheap though - £150 for everything (seat, baby set, cushion and harness) from the Tripp Trapp site but he got it for his xmas from his grandparents

I think the Silvercross sovereign is adjustable height wise so it might be worth a look. Lara I think has one? I got lent a Chicco happysnack by my cousin but it's crap and she lost the harness so I went for the really basic Ikea one for about £13 and it's absolutely fantastic - better than any of the other ones I've tried that are 4-10 times the price!

Yep, I have a Silver Cross Sovereign and love it :) Got it for the same reasons as you. It easily goes to several different heights. It has 2 trays, and a very small 'safety tray' which always stays in place. She's very secure in it, and as I'm always sitting with her I often don't even strap her in (keeps the straps clean!) and there's now way she could go anywhere.

It is quite bulky but to be honest that's the price you pay for it being comfy. I have since tried her in several different highchairs when feeding out and about, and she hates most of them! Including a cheap Cosatto one, wooden ones, all sorts, so I'm glad I got a decent one.

The Chicco Polly is quite similar, but I personally found it hard to close up. So might be worth having a look at some in Mothercare or similar :)

Also, keep checking around for offers! I know that Boots online had our highchair for half price a month or so back, I was gutted. Its RRP is £100 I think, we paid £80 as we had a 20% off voucher for Mothercare. Boots had it for £50 bah.

I have the funky blue retro design chicco Polly and its really good, i can lie him down in it for his bottle or sit him up to play. Its height adjustable and easy to clean.

i love the graco contempo.

i'd have gone for a tripp trapp if we'd had a permanent table for connor to sit up to, but i spend most of my time feeding him from the sofa cos his jumperoo is where the dining table should be

I bought a redkite one. It was £59.99 and it goes all the way to the ground or all the way up to table height. It reclines all the way back so he can sleep in it. It has a basket underneath for all his bits and bobs. The tray moves out three positions so he can have it as close as need be. I think it is definatley worth the money. You could probably get it cheaper on ebay than what I paid in a small shop. It has a posh leather like padded insert too :) !
