HELP Please.......OH turns 30 soon!

Hi girlies,

Just wondered if I could pick your brains?!

My wonderful OH turns 30 on 5th November , and I need to get my act together to plan a celebration .....most of our friends live all over the country so I will be asking them to let me know who is available but I have no idea what to do.....thinking of doing an activity on the Saturday afternoon then maybe going out on the evening.......we have a small 2 bedroom apartment so can't have a house party, but I wondered if anyone could suggest an activity we could all do, don't mind if I can't do it due to bump, but something maybe aimed at the boys?!

So far I've thought of car racing so I'm very much struggling!

Don't want anything too expensive as his mates will already have to shell out to stay in bed & breakfast or hotel for the night, something around £25 per person to do maximum..........

I'm going Toboganning at the snowdome on my 30th next month, then going to an all you can eat chinese buffet.

Also having a big Movie themed fancy dress party!



What kind of things does he like? Is there a snowdome near you?

Oooh good one...I love paintballing!

I just realised we are all suggesting things you can't do cos you're pregnant....hmmmm will have to think.

Have you been to the dog racing...it's not everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed it when I did it, you have a meal and make some bets.

You could rent a back room in a pub, or a community centre for a party, it wouldn't have to be at home.

Paintballing sounds like a good one! We're in Derby as well so Snowdome isn't too far away either for a day on the slopes?!

If anyone can think of anything else that would be cool too, I'm not too bothered about missing out, I was originally thinking about racing cars for the boys which I wouldn't be able to do either......

My DH turns 30 on 8th November and I've got a similar problem, except mine is made even more difficult by the fact that apart from me, he only has ONE friend.....and that's his ex-girlfriend (and no, I don't particularly like her lol)

Slightly problematic! I dunno what on earth to do for him!
