has any one had one?

my first labour was only 4hrs and 15 mins from first contraction till delivery and was fantastic no pain relieve and quick recovery

2nd was an elective section due to him being breech so not a major thing really

This time i had a little problem at the 20 weeks scan they found that the fold in the neck was bigger than it should be so we have had regular scans ect and an amneo to rule our downs and a few other things baby is measuring ahead of dates quite a bit but the doc dont seem worried nor is he worried about the increased fold in the babys neck now we have the all clear.

I want to ask for a home birth but not sure if ill be alloued

what do you think?

If you want to consider it then let your MW know. Its not a case of being allowed per se. If you want a homebirth, you can ask for one. If the Doctors advise against it, it is advice and you can choose what you do with it. Either follow it or not. It might not be the easiest path to go down so be prepared (I speak as one who has had lots of dealings with Doctors and wanting a homebirth) but if you are well informed and comfortable and happy with your decision then persue it.

Many women have had homebirths after a C section.

The medical advice might be to deliver in hospital but as I understand things, its time elapsed since previous C section etc that factors in to them advising against a homebirth etc. You have to research and find out so as to be informed of both sides of the argument as it were. I've been advised not to homebirth but having done my own research am opting to try for it anyways. You have to do what you feel happy with at the end of the day. So being informed from all angles is important.
