Abit of a weird question but have you cut yourself whilst being pregnant?

I burst a blood blister on my finger and it bleed for ages. I then must of knocked it yesterday and it bleed again for ages. This morning I was cleaning my sink and it got wet and it started bleeding again but when I tried to change the plaster the blood shot out like in a horror film, it was just spurting out. It did freak me out. I was just wondering if that is normal? My blood pressure is fine

we have much more blood when pregnant - maybe this has something to do with it... also what sems like loads is probably not as much as you think.. sorry can't offer any more advise as i've not hurt myself since being pregnant (here's where i cut myself now).... hope not.

Thanks Hayley. I think it is just something else for me to worry about!! I think because the blood was spurting out it worried me, it went everywhere.

Touch wood you dont cut yourself

I've noticed i bleed more since being pregnant.......i'm forever knocking and cutting myself-i'm so clumsy. I cut my finger not long ago with the bread knife and it bled for ages, and like you Eveadel i caught it again and it bled again so much. Just remember to hold it above your heart, but i'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Take care

You never get used to them. The are a saftey device for kids but an accident waiting to happen for us.

Evadel, could it be to do with low iron? They keep on at me to get my iron up so I dont loose a lot of blood during the labout/section. Its one of those things that it wouldnt do any harm to mention to the mw.
Hope you okay (stay away from sharp objects)
