How much did it cost and how long did you have it for?

We are looking at costs for this wedding at the moment, and have been looking at two/three cars, but are wondering if a limo might be cheaper and easier (and nicer! lol).

problem is, it would be to the regestry office, to the resturant where we are having our meal, to the place we are having the party, and it would be lovely to be taken home again after. My parents neighbours have a very nice merc he uses for weddings, and there is another cabby up the road who has a merc (my parents neighbours sold it to him when he got the next model up! lol). Just wondering what is going to be best

I haven't Sam, but I think Tasha20 and her OH run a limo hire company, so might be worth PMing her?

I've been the person delegated to hire one for our formal.

It's £250 for about an hour, for 8 people. Plus 2 bottles of champagne

I had one on my 21st birthday and for my sisters 21st we hired her one too, and again for someone else in my familys 75th birthday! lol so 3 times, it was about £20 a head for up to 10 ppl the first time was £180 and the last it was £200! so with the credit crunch its probably between 200-250! we got some champagne thrown in but took some of our own bottles too..only problem is you need to wee once you atrat drinking that! lol we made the driver stop at Mcdonalds in trafalgar square

for my wedding it was £180 for a silver 10 seater stretch limo which took us to the wedding and to the reception (and it dropped off the bridesmaids at the church and drove me round for a bit, lol)
maybe you could do that and then borrow one of the posh family cars for your lift home?

I looked at a limo, but in the end it was the same price as 1 classic car. So we had 1 car that did 2 trips :)

On the way to our reception venue, my bridesmaids and parents caught a lift with other ppl.

We hired a Rolls Royce Silver Wraith, it was £250 for the time we had it (I can't remember how long!!) which included bubbly and chocolates. We hired it from http://www.arrowvintagecars.co.uk/ (Based in Essex :))

I had a limo in 2004 when we got married. It was £250 to pick me up, to the registry office and back to reception. Roughly 3 hours and 40 miles. I liked the limo as could get everyone in it and only needed the one car.

When I was ringing around one company wouldn't let me look at the car beforehand as I wanted to know what I was getting, needless to say I wasn;t forking out that amount of money before looking at the car, it could have been an old wreck for all I knew and would be too late to get another car at short notice on my wedding day.
