Arrrgghhh after a glorious, beautiful (and rare!) sunny day yesterday we had a really scary thunder and lightening storm last night which caused a power cut from 9.30pm. Power has only just come back on which means my stash of expressed milk that was in the freezer is now semi defrosted  :wall:

I am so annoyed, I'll have to get DH to pour the milk away - I just can't do it!

I cant seem to express any decent amounts anymore either :(

Lucy

Noooooo, that is too unfair. Could you not give some of the milk as a feed today and express instead of a feed. It would just be a shame to lose it all.

OOOOOH NO!!!
Id suggest same as Beanie. thats what i did when i defroted milk unecessarily, bit of a pain i know.
Its like liquid gold isnt it?

I tried to give it to Olivia but she's still refusing the bottle at the moment... I kept some for DH to try giving to her but unfortunately I left it out on the side whilst we popped out to the shops but whilst we were out a car ran in the back of us which delayed us getting home so now it's gone off :(

Luckily the car was only travelling really slowly and we've been to A&E to check Olivia over and she seems fine.

Oh what a day....

Lucy

oh dear doesnt sound like your day! at least you have got your electricity back.

Awwww Lucy babe. So glad you are all ok, tried to leave you an msn message, take care xxx

Blimey Lucy, what a day you have had. Glad you are all ok, go and put your feet up and relax, you deserve to after today xx

What a terrible day, but at least you're all ok :D

Hope you have a better one tomorrow hun :)

Thanks guys

I know I will sound as mad as a hatter now but you know that phrase that bad stuff comes in 3s? I'm worried that something else is going to go wrong :(

Sorry Hels- DH was downloading an upgrade for the laptop so missed your MSN

Hope everyone has a nice weekend

Lucy

Hi Lucy!

Really sorry to hear about your bad run of luck :( Hope that you weren't too shaken up after the crash :( Was the car badly damaged? Will you need to get a new car seat?

Hope nothing else bad happened!

Hey Kina :)

Luckily we were just at traffic lights and the car behind slipped off the clutch so it was only a little bump but the bump is all quished in. The ambulance woman said I didn't need a new seat because it hadn't been involved in an impact accident, where the structure of the seat would be affected.

Yep the weekend got worse, we ended up round MIL house

but you know that phrase that bad stuff comes in 3s

split bad things up into 3 so that nothing else happens - the car, the freezer and the EBM are 3 different things

you've just done your MIL post when i clicked, so I take it back :(

Tracy - hey I like your way of thinking!!

Kina - MIL was very well behaved apart from still taking Olivia out to a room by herself (I know she is more than capable of just going for a walk into another room but she dissappears for ages) and she puts the middle bit of her finger in Olivia's mouth   Going to have to address that next time!

Good news is that the boobie bottle arrived today  Going to try it out tonight  Olivia will drink from it!

Maybe she's trying to force that formula down her ;)

Good luck with the bottle :D

Sorry to hear of the accident lucy - hope you all recovered well - and that the bottle went well.
