Does anyone use those little grobag/sleeping bag things instead of blankets etc? Am trying to establish which would be better and what to buy.

Thanks!

I used blankets until Maddie was about 4 months old - she didn't move around much then plus her head would fit through the neck hole of the newborn grobags which meant she could suffocate.

But after 4 months - when we moved her into her big bed - we changed to the sleeping bags and they are fantastic - she gets everywhere in her cot, so at least she is always warm! Highly recommend them - they come in many different togs for different climates but they aren't cheap. My best buys came from Sainsburys (£10) and I got lucky at a Mamas and Papas SALE - you've got plenty of time so get looking for the bargains!

They are great. I started using them when Aimee was about 2 months when she went into her cot. She never keeps blankets on and it stops her getting her legs stuck in the bars.

Cheers folks...................

Will def look into buying some, especially if I can hunt some down in the sales x

I love mine too, Started using it when Ellis was 2 months old.

But I recomend blankets when baby is tiny, so you can add and remove them all night.

Highly recommend grobags, much safer. The recommended weight to use them is 10lbs.

They are brill! Used them for Aaron all through the winter stopped me worrying all night about him getting cold. I just use a quilt now but thwne they are younger it's brill!

I used one from day one with Alfie he was a big baby 9lb.4 . I'd have a look on Ebay for some good deals if I were you.

they are brill i think. Eva has grown out of hers and i need to get more now that it is getting colder cos she wont keep her blanket on! I think they help you relax more cos im forever worrying that she is cold at the min!

I used them with Charlie from about 2 months. They are great! Thety prevent legs getting stuck in the cot bars and i found Charlie slept better with them, rather than blankies.
They dont have to be expensive either, i got mine from Matalan, they were 3 for 2 and at £8 each, a real bargin id say!! Asda do them cheap too.

Yeah I agree hels, I got one in Matalan, 1 from Asda and paid £24 for her proper "Gro Bag" out of Mothercare which may I add is no better than the cheap ones!

We used them from when Jamie was about 2/3 months old, can't really rememebr now, would never use blankets now. We have loads of blankets that will never get used!
Highly recommend them, really put you at ease.

I loved my one! Jaycee was always kicking the covers off straight away we couldnt get them to touch her coz she'd kick them off! But with the grobags she couldnt get out!! hehe!
Definitly recommend, especially in winter!!

Look round car booties too as there are always tons of baby clothes inc gro bags there :)

If anyone has a tk maxx you can get them for about £8, proper grobags aswell.
