Had my scan ad blood test today, and am pleased to report all is well. Didn't get any good pictures as the McGrimmelberry was lying on their belly and refused to properly move round despite much jumping about and very undignified belly wobbling. However the sonographer was able to get all the crucial measurements, and that combined with the blood test gave me a nice low risk of having a baby with Downs or the other conditions. So if any of you felt a warm breeze rush past you earlier today - that was my sigh of relief!
So I'm off the Tri 2 tomorrow. I can't believe how slowly Tri 1 goes by and had never fully appreciated how lonely it can be. I have found this forum to be such a help and support. I've not posted a lot, but just reading everyone else's concerns has made me less alone and has answered my questions. I am in fact a midwife, but believe me - it is a lot different on this side of the desk!!
So good luck everyone - look forward to seeing you in Tri 2 shortly .
