gift baskets

I was just wondering if you girlies could help.

Im making a couple of gift baskets one for a friend whos just found out shes pregnant and one who has just going to have her baby.

I know what I wouldve liked when i was pregnant but can you think of anything that any of you would have liked if someone made you a basket?? thanks

When I made a basket for my friend last year, I put one or 2 of everyting I could think of.

Teething Ring, Different Sized Dummies, A baby grow, a bib, A sleeping Suit, Vest, Mits, Hat. (I bought afew outfits), Various Baby Toileterries, a wee stuffed Eyore, Some bottles, baby towels, Baby Bangle and then I also put in things for my friend, Scented Candles, Face Packs, Bubble Bath, wee manicure set and some smelly lotions and afew minature designer perfumes that i got from semi-chem at the counter for £1.20 a minature.

I never never never buy for a new baby, I always make baskets for mum only and include pampering stuff like face masks, foot creams, massage oils, hot oil for hair that kind of stuff. Everybody seems to buy for a new baby and mum gets a box of chocs and some flowers if she's lucky so I've always done baskets for her.
If its a really close friend and you've got cash to spare a fluffy dressing gown usually goes down well

thanks, thats what I was thinking more along the lines of doing one for her as i know how nice it was when I had some smellies and things given to me just after I had Rhys.
