Getting nervous for Thursday now

We have our 1st appointment at the clinic

Any hints/tips as to what happens would be gratefully received

Is it your first fertility appointment? I had already had all bloods dine so my first appointment was a talk about history and blood and semen results. I then got an internal done andrhe decision was made that id start clomid after I had a lap and dye. Felt positive to get the ball rolling!

Yes , to not expect too much! , you put so much thought on it that when it doesn't go how you think/thought it would you can end up dissapointed. So keep an open mind. The first is usually crossing and ticking all the boxes making sure all necessary tests have been completed etc .Mine was 5 mins long , just asked about periods etc then sent me away with a prescription in the post for when OH semen analysis came back clear x

It is my first appointment.

I had a load of bloods done by the GP already and OH has had a semen analysis done (GP wouldnt refer until these were done), they all came back fine.

The letter just doesnt give anything away as to what to expect. x

Oh well the nurse just sat me down and said looking at it the best course of action will be clomid and i had to go and wait for AF then call them when i began x x

Did they give you it straight away? I'm hoping to come away with something other than another appointment. x

They will probably weigh you first, then go through your cycle history, what areas there seems to be issues, what tests you have had done etc ...

They make book you in for a scan if you havent had one already.

I had all my tests done at my GP so when I went I was given clomid on my first appt.

It will all be fine hun, they are there to help you xx

The only thing I haven't had is a scan.
I'm really wanting to walk away with good news, like being given clomid rather than having to wait for scans and more appointments etc.
Guess that's what we all hope for.

The one bonus of the fertility clinic that I'm going to is that it is a fab fertility clinic which has all of its own facilities. So hopefully I can go there instead of joining the NHS queue at the hospital for scans etc. x

Hiya

I got sent for cycle 2-4 day bloods. Asked a whole heap of questions. OH had already had SA and that was fine, so they suggested i wasnt ovulating properly, put me on 50mg Clomid and told me to have 21 day bloods, then call back, and so on.

i then had 2 tracking scans, and my next appt is 22nd Dec xxx

I'm now panicing they arent going to help me. By my bmi I am overweight I've never been skinny but I have been finding it hard to lose weight. I tend lo lose a couple of lb, stay the same then put it on again! Argh!! x
