Adam has his first lot of injections on the 14th and I have been hearing a lot of tales about babies having a bad reaction to it.

How did you lo get on with theirs?

Jack was a bit whingey after his and was difficult to get to sleep on the night time, dead chewy. I gave him calpol though and he settled, the following day he was fine :)

My LO's reaction was drowsiness - she slept almost the whole day after her 1st lot of jabs.

Isaac was fine after his, speak to your HV about how best to deal with any side effects, so you feel a bit mroe relaxed about it on the day

Thanks girls.

I hope he isn't too bothered by the jag. We have had a difficult couple of weeks, health wise with Adam and we are now getting it sorted so the last thing I need is for him to have a bad reaction. xx

Amber was poorly about a week after them, it took a while for them to kick in. I did take her docs twice because was worried and they explained that they actually inject a small dose of the bug they are trying to prevent so any reaction is there bodys natural defence. If your LO does have a reaction don't worry about taking to doc better to get all clear and dose up on calpol.

Amber was fine after 2nd but grisly after 3rd lot for about a week but fine now :)

Finn was bit grumpy but he was absoultely fine. We were told 1/2 a teaspoon of calpol if he was poorly. He had his second lot today :(

Mine have never been immunised (all four). It was a very well informed decision.

wow really. I don't think I would dare. My OH's parents didn't get him immunised against whooping cough when he was baby due to speculation over the affects and guess what he gt.. whooping cough - so just from her telling me that story i wouldn't ever have the balls not to get it done.

Mhairi, being Mhairi, didn't get a temperature.....she went cold!!!

So I had her wrapped up in a blanket, in my arms, sitting on the floor in front of the aga for ages!

I was told by my HV just to give her calpol after the jabs, then another dose 6 hours later. She seemed fine apart from the cold thing!
