Fetus Facts! (15/16 weeks)

OMG, out of interest, I just googled "fetus at 15 weeks" and got LOADS of info that I didn't know about!! I saw pictures of what my baby might look like and interesting facts for all you ladies around the same stage as me!

I'm SO excited to meet bubs now!! Haha I feel so proud like he/she has achieved something massive!

Anyway, here's some information;

- At 15/16 weeks, the fetus is approx 8 inches long (head to heel).
- The fetus weighs just over 5 ounces.
- The fetus can be startled by sudden noises.
- The fetus reacts to sound and sudden movements and can just make out mummy's voice!
- The fetus has started getting hiccups quite frequently, although you won't feel it.
- The fetus now has its own fingerprints.

That is amazing although all the sites I track weekly progress on say its only 5/6 inches but I'd love to think it was 8, it would also help explain my expanding bump!!! Great pic too. XX

you're not !!

8" as you stated was head to heel whereas the 5-6" in the books will be crown to rump!

some sites measure crown to rump...which would make it 5inches....but if they measure crown to heel it will be a lot longer.

I email the weekly development to my mother in law each week, and i find them so so amazing!

I dont know cos some of them seem to say less although I did see one that said what yours did, but maybe they're measuring it differently?? The lower one says crown to rump and maybe Im being really stupid but is that the same thing as crown to heel as yours says??!! I wanna stick with yours anyway it makes me feel better! x

I do the same thing every week. I love to read about the things my LO can do and how big it is it's so exciting!!

Ahhhh, that will be my baby tommorrow! I love it when it tells you about the baby and also what I should be feeling! In my baby mag it says:

HORMONES MAY RELAX THE VALVE AT THE TOP OF YOUR STOMACH MAKING YOU SUSCEPTIBLE TO HEARTBURN.
AVOID BIG MEALS
SLEEP WITH YOUR HEAD SLIGHTLY RAISED
DON'T EAT JUST BEFORE LYING DOWN
