Hey
i recently found a website called FASTTRAK which helps people on low income and housing benefit move house and find properties where landlords accept DSS.

I have googled the company trying to find anything regarding scams but came back with nothing. Seems there are quite a few reviews of people using them but im very cautious.

Has anyone come across them before?? and what were your experiences with them?

Thanks

Heres the link to the website.

ive just had a look interesting and good site :) there is an house on there that would suit me its also on right move.com but the rent is like 1250 a month for a 4 bed i mean as im on benefit the housing benefit would pay but that we could never afford it working so you would never come off benefits would you so im just going to hold out and hope the council find us a 4 bed that way at least the rent would be practical when my dh or i find a job

yea that was the only worry with me and if my OH finds a job. we viewed a property through leaders estate agent and loved it but they wanted a guarantor and we dont know anyone who earns enough to do it... council housing is limited down here where i am so im more likely to end up in a hostle with baby and other half not being able to come too. Im freaked out enough as it is let alone not having my oh there to help and support me once its here!

Do u think this company can be trusted?

do the search then look on right move.com to see if its there then if it is then contact the letting agents that way

yh but the thing is i have viewed the property through a letting agency so i know that is genuine but the letting agency wants a guarantor and i cant find one. hence why im debating going through this website as u dont need a guarantor

thanks. :/ just dont know whether to risk it.

i checked the address its a po box i personally wouldnt

did you know you dont need just 1 guarentour you could have 2+ to make it up to the amount that they need to earn thats what i did :) hope this helps x

not if u go through an agency. well the agencies we have looked at said the guarantor needs to be earning 3x the rent on the flat.....just because im not 21! :@

i needed a guarentour who could afford a mortgage and my 650 a month rent, think they needed to be on 20 or 30grand a year and i was allowed 2 guarentours to make it up to the amount through an estate agent, id ask them about it x

oh and most estate agents need guarentours if using DSS, it covers them and the landlord from losing any money, dont think it goes on age as im 21 now and would need a guarentour again to rent x
