Failed Baking

I wish i never gave up baking when i moved to the uk 5yrs ago, ive made 3 cakes over the last week, non of which have been edable, the middles just wont cook - eaither my repieces from cook books suck or im just a failier at them

whats worse - its all im bloody craving at the moment

any ideas? ive tried different pans, different reciepes, different oven temps


if all else fails my 5 min mudcake in a mug (cooked in the microwave) is going to be the winner lol

Could it be the oven. Sounds daft but our last oven burnt everything on the outside and raw in the middle. Apparently a heating element had gone or something. We replaced it an never had the problem anymore

possable, it seems to cook everything else alright just not cakes. i feel cursed!!

I have no idea but I used to be fantastic at making cakes and I stopped for a few years and can't bake for crap now! Xx
