ER

Starts in the US on the 21st September, normally follows a month or two after that iirc

http://www.nbc.com/ER/

Can't wait to see what happened to Abby, nailbiting stuff at the end of last season!

yippee cant wait for er, i have been watching this since the beginning.

there was an episode a while after my dad died, and this ( i think he was like a hobo) man was brought in on a gurney (lol my american talk) and i swear to god the man was the spitting image of my dad. i couldnt breathe. have never seen the episode since.

but anyway yay for er

Hi Davini, E.R is a bit of a strange one this year as E4 havn't really decided what the crack is by all accounts due to the way NBC's are going to show it.

Its starting 21st September in the US as Kina said, but they are only running it for half of the series so about 12 weeks, so it will finish around the end of December, then they are not showing the second half of the series untill April 2007 and will show the remaining 12 episodes! E4 will either do what they usually do and put it on 2 episodes behind the US which will mean it should start on or arround the 5th October, run untill about early Jan, then they will take the same break and restart the second half mid April. The other option they may do is just Run it from Mid Jan, which is when e4's ''new seasons'' start, that way we can watch the show continiously and not have to take a break. I personally think they may do the latter as the only time I have ever known C4 or E4 to stop shows is if they have been cancelled in the US (point pleasant for example!)

Smallville new series starts on 28th September in the U.S and there is no set aire date on E4 yet so I presume that will be part of the ''new seasons'' section that the start in January with the likes of the O.C (woo hoo cant wait for that) & as I reconed above E.R

PHEW - that was long winded wasnt it - enjoy the read??

:rotfl:

Jennywren I hate the way US shows do that :shakehead: I heard that this year they were starting Lost a little later in the US so they can show it all in one go, as there were several gaps in between episodes aired in the US for the previous 2 seasons.

Yeh its stupid, they break it up if they think there is something on another channel (like the superbowl for example or a mini series) that sgoing to take their ratings the asses!

The other thing that winds the hell outa me is when im over there luckily my mate watches all the shows I do (e.r, o.c, OTH, smallville etc generally all the US dramas) so we settle down to watch them (most are on a thursdya night) and the boys go out for beers, well every bloody 5 minutes without failt there is a break for adverts. On some of them it doesnt even kind of stop and show a screen shot (like the green ER screen for example) like we do when its going to break for ''commercials'' but just cuts to an advert, ooooooo that winds me up. The adverts are all the same though. Mind you I do also fantasie about having the stang or vette that always gets advertised :rotfl:

I love ER, Smallville and Lost. they should put them all on one evening that i will be in heaven.

Never got in to Lost, watched the first eppy, thought it was good but then missed about 5 so gave it up as a bad job, waiting for the boxsets to come down and Ill buy them and watch them - while on mat leave pmsl

I think in Jan they will do this

7-8 The O.C Season 4
8-9 Smallville Season 6
9-10 E.R Season 13

Now thats a wicked 3 hours of TV :rotfl:

never watched oc but i wish i had but ive missed a lot. do you think i would get into it if i watched it from season 4

I watched ER right from the begining, I lived the fact that E4 recently reran all the old ones again (even if they did miss out the gorey ones cause it was during the day) I had forgotten some of the old characters like Gini Boulay, Cleo, Dr Dave and everyone else. Although it also really showed how much it has gone down hill in the last few years. For me it was never as good after Anthony Edwards was written out, and when Carter went too well, its never recovered in my eyes. Plus its flopping majorly in the states, and being replaced with House and Greys Anatomy (Im thinking of getting both on DVD to see what all the fuss is about)
I already know what happend to crAbby and the baby. But you may well find that this ends up being the last series!

Urm........well without spoiling what happened in season 3, you kinda really need to see that - or atlease the last 1/2 to know what the crack / feelings are going to be in season 4. you could get away without watching the first 2 seasons though yeh. If you wanna watch season 4 though, i can give you a brief overview of season 1-2&3 (missing out all the crap and just giving the important bits lol) so you can get in to season 4.

They showed all of season 3 again on T4 in the summer at 9am - you coulda caught up then lol

If I had a DVD copier (and it was legal of course) id copy them for you and send them for you to catch up but I dont ;( lol

The O.C is great by the way I think you would like it! season one was good and season 2 dipped a bit (bit boring) but season 3 was a corker!

I also watch one tree hill..........mmmmmmmmmmmmm Chad Michael Murray

Cat pm me about Abby and the baby, why do you think this will be the last series?

Yeh I think ive watched it from about season 2 or 3. I prefered it back then for sure! Carter handed in his notice as his wife had a baby and he said the schedule was to hectic and he wanted a change, iirc, Anthony Edwards also left on his own accord!

DR Dave....he was so funny with weaver, also remember when Carter lived with Weaver - weird. Ahh and when Carter and Lucy (was it lucy - the blonde one?) got stabbed that was one of my fave eppisodes.

People recon they wont carry on after this series but they are all actually contracted till a 14th Season so I think they will probably go on to S.14 and then pack it in tbh

I also know what happens to crAbby and sL(ag)uca lol, oh the joys of spoilerfix.com

The ratings are dramatically dropping in the US with CBS (I think its them who make is) as NBC/Fox are pulling out all the bigger shows (as cat said Greys att, house, even deal or no deal is a ratings puller over there) and the raitings are beating it hands down, so there trying to shift it from the popular thursday night spot to a not so famous spot etc so people think it will end after this one, but as I said there contracted for 14 so the may run till then and then quit it! (I hope not)

Oh and Davina check out www.spoilerfix.com* and you can find out what happens to abbey and the baby there. If you like to know what happens on shows before there on (like I do lol but some hate it) then its all on there. Or www.Kryptonsite.com* for the best smallville site

* I am by no way affiliated with any of the sites _ i just like to visit them for sources of info

LOL, yeah when they repeated the old ones, they did the episode that ended with carter and lucy getting stabbed, and the following day I excitedly turned on the TV to watch the 'operation' episode and they bloody didnt show it, cause it was to gorey for daytime.

I also really miss Romano, he was so funny!
I dont get why they wrote in so many new characters last season just to write them straight back out again. i.i. That head nurse that everyone hated and Dr Clemete.

The problem is that I dont give a stuff about any of the charaters anymore, Neala and crAbby are both permanently misserable (dont think either of them have ever cracked a smile) and the other characters are all pretty one dimensional. They are just young pretty boring people with no lives!

Ah if only Doung Ross was back mmmmmm . . . .

i used to like carol hathaway and i really loved dr carter and dr green. thre are no real heart throbs are there.

Oh yeh Doug Ross and Carol, I liked both of them. When carol tried to commit sucide

I cant believe I missed the re-run of the lucy and carter thing grrrr, is it More 4 they show them on, I saw one a bit ago when Peter's son was born and they found out he was deaf bless. I liked romano to, how unlucky was he. I think weaver and hallie are the only 2 longest serving members in it now or am I missing someone, mind you Kovac has been in it a while I forgot he went out with Carol when he first came lol. Oh how things keep popping in to my mind

I think they keep getting rid of people is that the characters are just not working so they bin them off. Clemente's character was a terrible role!

Ray is on dimensial as is Sam, however I do liek Shane West who plays Ray especially in the movie walk to remember (if you waint seen it, rent it, its a weepy) I wonder why they changed sams kid as well - the old Alez was better

Yeah Kovac was in it when Carol was preggers with the twins. He was a sort of replacemnet heart throb for Clooney.

Also Abby was the midwife who delievered Carols twins! a few weeks later they wrote her in as the nurse in the ER.

I dont think they are showing the reruns anymore. They were doing more recent ones on channel 4 arround mid-day, and Oldies on More 4 at about 3:30
