After my disturbing trip to hospital today I have been looking on the internet (like a dumbass) for reports on the hospital....

William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent "Full-grown adult" cockroaches in kitchens in 2006 report; 2007 report stated there had been "regular reports of an infestation of oriental cockroaches in the kitchen".

from here http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2007/ ... h.politics

this is the first one I found.....I shall stop googling right now before I scare myself stupid and just  and keep my legs crossed and tied together for 3 weeks so I dont have to go there. MM Ive had words with James from you and I think he'll be staying put

xx

YUCK! that's disgusting!
Well let's hope you don't have to go too near the place then!
My hospitals had some dodgy findings too, i'm avoiding it all all costs.

omg

i didn't even open the link, don't want to know anymore :puke:

tell james to stay comfy for at least 3 weeks

james you stay put

sorry to hear about your hopstial having problems
mine Pembury hospital had a huge out break of MRSA and c-diff early last year
so im a bit concerned but im hoping after giving it some thought i can get into the birthing center in Crowbough

i hope you do make it to the date you need and can have james i the birthing center

sarah

Don't worry about it - I have told James to stay put and he will, so you won't need to go near the hospital :D

erghhhh!! How disgusting!!! I hope you don't have to go there hun. xxxxxx

When I had james of the two maternity wards one was closed due to infection. James stopped breathing at 5 days old apparantly due to an infection, though they couldn't tell me what the infection was :(
A couple other babies stopped breathing with the same symptoms, I still wonder if it was something from the hospital.
It is very rare, but does happen

I was surprised when I visited the maternity unit I hope to deliver at this time how clean it was. It was absolutely spotless, I guess because it's used a lot less as they only have a maximum of 2 ladies there at a time. and there are around 60-80 births a year
