Ear infection in pregnancy

On Monday afternoon i started with an ear infection. My Gp gave me oral antibiotics for a week plut told me to take paracetamol every 4 hours.
Im still not feeling much improvement after 2 days of tablets. I have been back to the Gp again today and he cant give me anything more pain killer wise due to being pregnant.
Along with pregnancy sickness i feel totally fed up and down.
Any advice or help would be warmly welcomed xxx

Unfortunately there isn’t a lot we can take while pregnant! I know what it feels like to be in pain with no relief ...I have toothache and need the tooth removing but they won’t whilst I’m pregnant.
So alls I can suggest is keep up with the things you can have, try rest and stay in doors if you can until it’s passed xxx

Maybe the antibiotics aren't the right ones for the infection? Maybe ask for a more general one?x

I went back to the GP and they have doubled ny dosage of antibiotics and after 2 doses im feeling an improvement .. the pain has reduced and im sleeping better now.
