does itchy belly always = stretch marks?

Pretty obvious title, no second guessing needed here.
I have a bit of an itchy stomach and am wondering if this is it... will the dreaded marks start appearing soon??

No it doesn't I have had it both times and not a single stretch mark on my stomach.

No not necessarily your probably finding your itching as your tummy is stretching but not everyone gets the stretch marks xx

Think they are genetic, not linked to itchy tummy. I haven't itched at all, and got one stetchmark at 30 weeks and had nothing since then - bizarre!!

I have applied dtregch mark cream (the fab blossom one from Tesco £3)...n dnt gave one yrt touch wood. my sides gave really itcged at times but just get applying the cream. plys my mum had stretchmatks after havin me so thought Id b covered.

Quite worried tho as alot of ppl get them in their final2 weeks n if Im over due it could b then I get them.

My bump gets reaaaally itchy but I've had zero stretch marks as yet - or none that I can see anyway! Lol. Plus I havent been consistant with my cream - my memory is awful at the best of times ha! Xx

Thanks ladies, a nice bit of reassurance. At 32 weeks I do not have any yet so im keeping my fingers tightly crossed that those pesky little blighters will stay away!!!

its more than itching where ive got the marks it burned a lil too. like it was so tight n sore i knew it was gonna have to stretch
