Does anyone know anything about Antiques?(dolls pram)

My boss has a charity for her little girl and they are trying to raise money to build a big holiday home for termanilly ill children and their famillys where they can bring their nurses and they get a free holiday for the familly and the children then they can leave a donation.

Well basically this morning a dear old couple came to the shop with a toy pram and a proper china doll sat in it.

We know its very old! And obviously we want to make sure we get a good price for it because it will be auctioned for the charity. I didnt take any pics of it today but I will tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how much it would be worth....the nearest thing i can find online of it is a copy toy which is modern but is obviously based on the pram that was given to her. this is the pic of the toy one that is the nearest thing I can find online that looks similar.......

The one we have has a more rounded wicker basket and is a light brown colour, the front wheels are bigger (could be the back but I cant remember), and the little canopy thing is made completely of cream coloured lace. Its a black metal frame and the wooden handle is more carved and rounded than the one on that picture.

Any ideas anyone?

Cant help hun, but that pram looks lovely! What about ringing antique shops and seeing if there is a toy specialist in your area. You might get more for it taking it to a collector or putting it in a special toy antique auction (thats what they say on these "cash in the attic" type programmes!).

You could try contacting the SilverCross Heritage people.

It might not be a SilverCross, but they are the only traditional pram makers I can think of that are still going today, so they might be willing to give you some contacts seeing as it is for charity!
