I have just applied for a new job as a receptionist, But its at the doctors i go to. my MIL told me last night that id not be allowed to work there because hes my family doctor. is this true? I hope not beacuse im fed up f being rejected for jobs

You could always change GP's and go to another practice if thats the case.

Its possible your Mum might be right due to confidentiality reasons and so on.

I should imagine for the sake of you being comfortable to talk to your doctor it's true- your doctor will effectively be your boss.

I'd just transfer to a different doctor
