You proberly all know this already, but i found out that if baby's soft spot is really indented it means they are deyhrated!! I was amazed that the midwives hadnt mentioned anything about it!!!

i was feeding Max when really i should have just given him a drink!!

Well just incase any of you didnt know, i think its a good thing someone else told me!

A girl I was in hospital said the same to me. But Jayden has a dipped one now and then and seems to be fine. When I see that I try to give her some water but she won't take it so can't be that thirsty :? Mind you I might be mixing up th efact it throbs with being dipped as well  xxxxxxxxx

Might sound silly but what is a soft spot? Is it the fontanelle?

I also found it interesting that if your baby has a tense or bulging soft spot that doesn't go down when they are calm it could be a sign of meningitis. You can tell a lot from the soft spot can't you!

Damien's is sometimes ever so slightly dipped. He's not dehydrated though (beleive me this boy drinks for britain!) I think a slighyt dip is normal as there is no bone to keep it held up. I'd worry more if it was very dipped. :)
