Does anyone know the hours/pay/experience or pre-requirements needed to be a dinner lady?

Or alternatively any other catering job that doesn't have unsociable hours?

I've been given the opportunity to do NVQ3 in Catering and Hospitality, free and part time, but there's not a lot of point me doing it unless I can get work that's not unsociable hours and pays enough to at least cover the amount I would earn elsewhere (currently on £12k pro-rata 3 days a week).

Bit random I know but no harm in asking eh :D

I used to earn around £140 per month (1 1/4 hours per day). No experience required :)

are u talking about the kitchens or supervising the children

you will need a police check and i am almost sure the kitchen staff at our school are first aid trained

Oh I was a play assistant. I think the money was about the same though (crap)

I think it also depends on if you work for the council or an outside catering company
